There are lots of international students who desire to settle down in Australia and start careers after their Australian study. Some of the students find it hard to get PR since they’re not eligible for it on account of their occupation and education. This can be a very expensive mistake because the Australian education is not cheap for international students. This is why international students, who intend to qualify for PR when they finish their education, must possess all the qualification needed and must be employable in high demand occupations across Australia. Every year, the Australian government releases the list of occupations that are in high demand. Therefore, any international student who has successfully completed his/her course in any high demand occupation will have an advantage when it comes to securing their PR.
This Occupation List (STSOL & MLTSSL) comes with a combined list of more than 400 eligible occupations. The most important immigration step for people who want to move to Australia is to choose the right occupation with the right visa.
Before you can be eligible for Australia’s skilled migration program, you have to pick an occupation from their Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). But if you intend to apply for the skilled migration through State or Tertiary Government nomination, you’re allowed to nominate an occupation from their Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).
If you’re applying for their General Skilled Migration visa but you’ve not being nominated by either a State or a Tertiary Government, then you have to nominate an occupation through Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).
